As people pulled up to the Morris Fire Department golf tournament on Saturday, they were greeted by numerous fire trucks and other assorted emergency vehicles with lights flashing on the golf course parking lot. The STARS team was also in attendance with their Motor home. It was all part of welcoming golfers to the first ever fire department tournament … people driving by on Highway 75 who did not know about the tournament will have done a double take. This photo was reprinted from MLA Shannon Martin’s Twitter site. Mr. Martin was one of the 76 golfers who enjoyed an afternoon of golf followed by a steak bar-b-q … the event raised $700 for the local food bank and $300 for the Manitoba Fire Fighters burn fund.
