In the mid-seventies, a number of West Park employees built and raced a stock car at the Winnipeg Speedway … Tony Harms was the “chief builder” … Bob Stoesz was the main driver … and Ray Loewen was one of numerous members of the pit crew … in this picture it appears as though Bob is doing all the work – tightening wheel nuts or installing a tire – while Ray and Danny Hiebert look on from their perch on the back of the tow truck … lots of cold winter nights were spent building the car to enjoy racing on those sunny summer nights.
